The name of that actor was Raj Kumar who passed away many years ago but people still talk about him. The reason for this is that whenever he used to come on screen with his style, his strong voice and his amazing dialogues, there used to be applause and whistles.

This incident is from around 1972 when director Prakash Mehra went to Raj Kumar with the script of the film Zanjeer. It is said that at that time Raj Kumar had said, ‘Because of the smell of the oil you have applied, we would not like to do this film, let alone stand next to you.’ After this Prakash Mehra was very disappointed.

Second story: It is said that Raj Kumar used to confuse the names of big stars like Jitendra, Dharmendra and Rajendra and used to call everyone by their names. When someone asked him why he does this, Raj Kumar said, ‘Be it Jitendra, Dharmendra, Rajendra or a monkey…what is the point in a name, for me everyone is equal.’

Third story: Zeenat Aman was a big actress of her time. When she had become a famous actress, she met Raj Kumar for the first time in a party. Then the actor looked at Zeenat for a long time and said, ‘Jaani… you look great, why don’t you try your luck in films.’ There is no disclosure about what happened after this.


Fourth story: Whenever Raj Kumar had to say something to someone, he never thought twice. When he met Bappi Lahiri at a party, he said, ‘Wow… you are laden with jewellery from top to bottom, only a mangalsutra is missing.’ Although everyone took this as a joke, Raj Kumar did not hesitate at all in saying this.

Fifth story: Govinda worked with Raj Kumar in the film Jangbaaz. According to reports, Govinda once came to the shooting of the film wearing a shirt. Raj Kumar praised his shirt, to which Govinda said, “Sir, if you like this shirt, then keep it.” Raj Kumar kept that shirt and after two days, Govinda saw that the shirt had turned into a handkerchief which Raj Kumar had kept in his pocket.

Sixth story: When Ramanand Sagar went to Raj Kumar with the offer of the film Aankhen, he narrated the story of the film to him. After listening and understanding a lot, Raj Kumar said, ‘Even my dog ​​will not do this film, let alone me.’
